3 Tips for the Perfect Christmas Flower Arrangement
Although we’re still just over a month away from Christmas, it doesn’t mean that you can’t start looking forward to the festive season.
It’s never too early to think about how you want your office or restaurant to embrace Christmas is important, especially as you will want to be set up a few weeks before Christmas. Rather than going all out with decorations which can often be quite costly, you could choose to create a Christmas themed floral arrangement instead.
It can be as bold or as subtle as you need it to be – perfect for those environments which just need a little something to help it feel festive.
Festive Floral Choices
It’s a common misconception that floral arrangements must always consist entirely of flowers. There is so much more that you can do with an arrangement which utilises the colours, shapes and textures of other plants, especially so during the winter season when there aren’t as many vibrant flowers growing.
Instead of adorning your office with bunches of flowers, why not opt for a display which channels the season through use of greenery and seasonal berries, as well as some delicate red or white flowers? You could even incorporate pine cones and a festive ribbon to finish the look off without looking like you’ve gone overboard with Christmas spirit.
Bouquet or Wreath?
Depending on the environment that you are wanting to place your display, you may not feel that a bouquet is appropriate. Wreaths are a great festive alternative which aren’t as bold, but just as effective at bringing a touch of festive cheer into the room.
Plant choices don’t have to differ, but using plants such as ferns or various evergreen plants can give the wreath a rugged, natural outline which can be great to bring some character into a space, too.
Wreaths can be hung up or laid down, so if they need to be moved around, it’s easy enough to do without risking spilling a vase full of water.
Another misconception of floral displays is that they have to be big to make a difference to an environment.
However, we think that creating smaller displays and having one of each of your employees’ desks or each table in your restaurant creates more of a festive atmosphere and brightens up many areas of the space rather than just one!
If you’re in an office, you have the added benefit of the flowers and plants improving the mood, creativity and productivity of your workers!
